Card stock was used for the traditional "sixties slot car" look. Used the engine detail from the original and the dash. Wheelbase is dead on so it was easy to set and adjust the E.J.'s repop Strombecker chassis. The Airfix rendition matches up to scale quiote nicely (VSRN is a great source for scale drawings) Set about gluing the top of the body to the pan and trimming away underbits that were not necessary. Picked my own livery (if Racer has a Gulf version I can do mine.besides I like it and wanted to be a bit unique.thrrrrp! ) Got the original Airfix release kit from BWA when we still resided in southern Ontario. When I finally got around to doing it NSR and Racer had released their mine is satisfactory. As is always the case with procrastination experts like me, my Ford P68 was sitting in the project bin for about three years.
